Filled with teared pages. . Silk Lady? Looking boring. . A new KAWS ?

Somebody will have to melt the glue out in order to get it open. A thoughtful plan.

Movie in Time

Factotum (2005)

Just watched it last night. I liked it's simple story but I keep thinking they could have picked a more proper actor for Hank Chinaski who is undiscovered alcoholic writer, rather than Matt Dillon. Directed by Bent Hamer.

This is my favorite of Bent Hamer's so far. I liked the loose timing of the story and colors, especially the warm laughter that comes in occasionally. It makes me think that the Norwegian sense of speed, colors, and humor is similar to Japan's.

Rumble Thru The Bronx 6

My 3rd attempt with the worst result. Lots of lessons learned. I also met Eric Pupeki at the race. He took the first out-of-town. Thanks for the beer eric!

Hokora-

I was just enjoying these random photos people took on Flickr and I came across with this one. It's kind of hard to notice but if you see it closer, there is a little stone shrine by the water fall. It's called "Hokora" in Japanese, built for worshipping gods in nature. Besides the religious meaning of it, I like it's small size and how it's placed in an unusual spot. I grew up in Japan so I am familiar with the way people worship, but even if I was from a different country and had a different religious back ground, I could probably sense that it's something spiritual.

It might sounds impolite but that idea itself is something I want to incorporate into my art work. If I can create something that communicates to people understand from a glance, something that works almost like an universal translation. . . . . I'm sure I will be satisfied deeply.

The point is just to try it out without thinking. I could be lazy anytime so this idea could easily fade away.

Random

Some random picts that I shot occasionally past couple weeks. Too busy hitting beaches these days and nothing else to say. Enjoy the rest of the summer everyboby!
